579 people fed in January 2025

In January 2025, your donations helped Abingdon Foodbank to distribute 224 food parcels to people facing hardship in Abingdon and the surrounding villages.

These parcels fed 579 people, of which 229 were children.

As volunteers, we noticed it was a quieter start to the year than we anticipated. Towards the end of the month we saw numbers starting to increase, and clients have anecdotally told us that they held off as long as possible before needing to use our services. With January being a long month, their resources only stretched so far, and we suspect we will see more clients returning to us in February.
