Abingdon Foodbank at Millets Miglia 2024

Abingdon Foodbank was the chosen charity for the Millets Miglia 2024!
Up to 150 Italian vehicles were on display for enthusiasts and visitors to Millets Farm on Saturday 17th August.
We had an information point for people to drop off food and household items, talk to volunteers and make donations.
Among the conversations we had, one in particular stood out from a former foodbank user, who had used foodbank services to help them get back on their feet. It was a really lovely and useful conversation!
At the end of the day we brought all the donations back to the Corner Suite storage at Christ Church Abingdon and weighed and counted it all in.
We were thrilled to receive 122kg of food and household items, and £94.51 in cash donations.
Our thanks go to all the volunteers who gave their time, the organisers for helping us make this possible, and the kind and generous donors on the day.
